A Little about us and our Munsterlanders..............
We have owned Munsterlanders for the past 22 years
Starting off with Raycris Hera, (Carla), then three years later Raycris Nighthawk, (Rael) came to live with us. Both did is proud in the show ring at local shows but with three small children it became a little difficult to manage it all!
We sadly lost Carla in 1996, she was 11 years old, we had to wait then for nearly 12 months before Raycris Double Top, (Sarek), came to live with us.
I started to show Sarek and he started to win Best Puppy's and Best of Breed awards, he also qualified for Crufts. So off to Crufts we went, he won his class and Best dog puppy, now I was well and truly HOOKED

So along came Raycris Simply Dazzling, (Jiggy), in early 1999 again he started to win and it wasn't long before the 2 boys ended up in the same class, a change of sex was needed!
So...............

Along came Raycris Showgirl, (Majik), now we have 4 Munster's, (I said they are addictive), but sadly when Majik was 8 months old we lost Rael at the great age of 14 years and 6 months.
Anyway with Majik, Sarek and Jiggy all showing well a change of hobby was needed, (no not taking up fishing with my husband!). a friend invited us out shooting, well this was great the dogs natural instincts are amazing.
We than made the decision to take Majik out of the show ring for a while to have her first litter of puppies. She had her puppies home here with us for the Raycris kennel. The father was SH Ch Blitzan Rhine JW. (Logi). One of their daughter's Raycris Sweet Child of Mine (Keisha) stayed here whilst another daughter Raycris Sweet Aria, (Eva) went up to Yorkshire to the Raycris kennel. The girls are doing us proud.

Sadly in January 2005 quite suddenly we lost my dear boy Sarek, we had had visitor's to 'meet' the dogs earlier in the day, Sarek had done his usual meet, greet and sit on, later that day I was aware he was suddenly quiet, out of the blue he collapsed, I rushed him to my vet, where they stabilized him, it was decided after tests that he needed an operation, the operation showed that poor Sarek was full of cancerous tumors. The decision not to wake him up was the only one we could make. I still miss him so much and I feel so cheated to have lost my boy so suddenly and at such a young age. Shortly after the trauma of losing Sarek, I was aware Majik was showing signs of pregnancy, she had had her season 6 weeks before, so panic set in and off to the vets, yes she was pregnant! Jiggy and Majik had got together for 5 seconds during her season, Jig's literally jumped on her and I pulled him off, I had Majik 'jabbed' as a precaution, to stop puppies, but the jab failed. The only accident I have had in 22 years, I now feel it was meant to be, as we ended up keeping Strider, Rixbriar Blaze of Glory, not a replacement for Sarek but he certainly helped heal the wounds. It was a litter that was unplanned BUT so right in everyway. looks and personalities as well as timing. Introducing.............. Rixbriar Blaze of Glory - 'Strider'
This gorgeous boy of mine, has indeed help heal the wounds, he is so easy to take anywhere and to show, last year (2007) he won the Large Munsterlander Club trophy, 'The Ken Thompson Memorial Trophy', awarded to the dog who has done the most winning in the lower classes and excluding CC winners, he then went on to win virtually every class he was entered in. The highlight for Strider was his mating to Summer, a young lady in the Blitzan household, 6 beautiful puppies were the result.........
The puppies were all sold, when I went down to visit them, and I fell in love with one of the baby girls, and on my way home Ali rang to say due to a time waster she had this girl available for the right home. After a very short chat with Ali we decided to keep her between us and 'share' her, this we have done and she lives with me 99% of the time, so although the introductions were meant to stop with Strider for a few years.............. I am very pleased to introduce Stella, Strider's daughter.
Blitzan Summer Star over Rixbriar, or Stella as we call her is indeed a star, winning Best puppy at her first show. A highly intelligent girl who is a dream to take anywhere, Strider's daughter, Majik's and Jiggy's Grand daughter and Keisha's niece our household is a real family affair.
